In 2005 Georgian Government signed an agreement with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and International Development Agency (IDA) for the facilitation of agriculture development and finance.

In 2006 Basisbank joined the project and signed a ten year agreement under which the Bank received $2.5 million credit line for the development of agriculture sector.
